This week, PLANTOMYC had the pleasure of participating in Food 4 Future – Expo Foodtech 2025, held in Bilbao, Spain. As part of the EIT Food South stand, we were excited to present our latest developments in hybrid protein innovations, combining plant-based ingredients with mycelial protein biomass (MPB) to create sustainable and nutritious alternatives to conventional meat products.
Food 4 Future – Expo Foodtech is one of Europe’s leading events for food industry innovation, bringing together startups, technology providers, researchers, and industry leaders to explore the future of food. The event covers key topics such as alternative proteins, sustainability, digitalisation, food safety, and emerging technologies shaping the global food ecosystem.
For PLANTOMYC, the event was a fantastic platform to connect with stakeholders from across the foodtech sector, exchange ideas, and discuss how our project contributes to building a more sustainable and resilient food system. Visitors showed great interest in our innovative approach to hybrid meat analogues, which harnesses the unique properties of mycelium to deliver high-quality protein with improved texture, flavour, and environmental benefits.
We’re grateful for the many engaging conversations and the opportunity to share our vision for the future of alternative proteins. A big thank you to everyone who stopped by our stand!
